Game Features
- Bold, visual design
- Easy to edit with your own reading material
- A fun way to get students up and moving while reading
- Make different levels that increase in difficulty (and fun!)
How to Play
- All students stand up.
- When the game starts, they start reading the sentences on the screen together.
- If a word has a symbol above it, students do the action when they read the word (clap, jump, shout, squat, or spin).
- I usually like to start out easy (no actions) then gradually increase the amount of actions as students move up to different levels in the game.
Variations
- Instead of reading together, you can have students each read a word one by one.
- While the game can be used as is for online teaching, feel free to change the actions to better fit your online teaching environment as needed (ex. whisper instead of shout or using more hand motions if you want students to stay seated).
