What is this?

A K-Pop themed game where students must find the target word within a time limit!

Game details:

Level: Upper Elementary+ / Video duration: 5:41 / # of questions: 12

Teaching points:

Write out the words on the board or type out in a document on a screen.

Drill pronunciation and have some discussion if applicable.

Decide and practice the sentence model for when the student finds the answer.

For example:

S: I found it!

or

S: I found [target word]!

Optional to have students say their name or team name first to determine who answers first. Can also include humorous codes they have to say to be chosen. This can include writing words/sentences on strips of paper that they choose randomly. When they find the target word, they have to say the word/sentence that is written on the paper quickly before showing where the answer is. The words and sentences on the paper can also be previously studied terms for layered review.

Note: Pause the game if more time is needed.* Also consider minimizing the screen during inactive times such as during team member rotations.

Point System:

Award points to whomever finds the word first. Bonus points to the student who can say the definition or make a sentence with the word they chose.
