Make Your Own: Classroom Squares Game

Students will love seeing their favorite celebrities and characters in this classroom version of Hollywood Squares (also known as Celebrity Squares)! All you have to do is add any celebrities you want to the game along with your own questions/prompts and answers and the fun will begin!

Uses:

• Can be used as a review activity for any topic as well as an extra time activity
• Great to play before quizzes or tests

How it works:

• Divide your class into two teams, Team X and Team O.
• One team picks a celebrity in a "square." (I know they're technically rectangles, but "Classroom Rectangles" didn't have the pizzazz.)
• The celebrity will answer a question.
• That team must agree or disagree with the answer the celebrity has given.
• If the team is correct, they will get the square. If the team is wrong, their opponent will get the square.
• Then, the other team goes.
• To win the round, one team either gets three in a row (across, vertical or diagonal) or has 5 squares.
• The team with the most round wins at the end of the game wins!
