Place your bets and cheer for your favorite furry racer! Students practice English while laughing, guessing, and watching the most intense rodent races ever! 

Great for:

• Practicing future tense and superlative adjectives
• Speaking and listening comprehension practice
• Fun review days, game days, or special events
• Individual, pair, or team play

How to play:

• Introduce the 4 competing rodents: A Mini Hamster, Black Hamster, Rat, and Chinchilla
• Give each player/team "$5" to start the game
• Before each race, students place a bet of $1–$3 by making a sentence (ex. “I bet $2 the black hamster will be the fastest!”)
• Then, watch the video of the event together
• NOTE: Because this game uses embedded YouTube videos, the best way to play it is directly in Google Slides. If you download it in another format, some video links may not work correctly.
• Players earn or lose money based on how their rodent finishes:
• 🥇 1st place = double your bet!
• 🥈 2nd place = get your money back
• 🥉 3rd or 4th place = lose your bet
• The teacher acts as the banker, tracking and distributing money
• The player/team with the most money at the end of the game wins!
