Save Your Planet
☆ Created by The Cross-Cultural Classroom ☆
A fun quiz/review game with a unique scoring system making it the perfect way to wrap up any Earth Day lesson or unit!
How it works:
- Split students up into teams (can also play in pairs or individually if there aren’t too many students).
- Each team has a planet and each planet has 6 lives (represented by 6 hearts).
- First, the team chooses and answers a multiple-choice question.
- If they get the answer correct, they choose 1 of 3 circles on the following slide.
- Behind the circle is an icon which indicates if their planet gains or loses a life/heart.
- Planting Icon = Add 2 lives; Recycling Icon = Add 1 life; Pollution Icon = Subtract 1 life; Natural Disaster Icon = Subtract 2 lives
- The team whose planet has the most lives at the end of the game wins!
Format:
This game template has been created as a fun, animated PowerPoint and extra notes on how to play have been provided in the "Notes" sections of each slide. To make your job as easy as possible, I have already included 24 Earth Day questions and answers, so the game is ready to play straight away! However, feel free to update or change them to fit your lesson.
