Say Uno! - Get to Know You Edition

SAY UNO is an ESL spin on the classic card game! Use it as a fun, educational way to help students practice or review asking and answering basic get-to-know-you questions.

Great For:

• ESL / EFL classrooms
• Speaking, listening, and review activities
• Icebreakers and back-to-school activities
• Practicing personal information questions (name, age, favorites, hobbies, family)

How it works:

• The goal is for students to match the cards by color or type of question.
• Each player starts with 7 cards.
• On a player's turn, they put down the same color or question card on the pile and ask the next student the question on the card (i.e. "Do you play an instrument?").
• The next student answers the question before taking their turn to play.
• If they don't have a matching card, they take one from the deck and skip their turn.
• There are also special cards to mix things up! (Skip, Reverse, Draw 2, Wild, etc.)
• When a player has only one card left, they say "Uno!"
• The first player with no cards wins!
