Make Your Own Superhero Comic Book - Craft & Writing Activity

Students will love getting creative and practicing their writing skills with this superhero comic book craft! This project takes them through every key part of the superhero creation process including coming up with their name, logo, costume, superpowers, origin story, and gadgets they use. Once finished, students will have a beautiful final product which they'll want to show off to their friends and family! I hope your students enjoy this project as much as mine did :)

• Comic book layout guide for reference
• 9 comic cover templates (3 different front cover designs, each with 3 different back cover designs - male silhouette, female silhouette, and no silhouette for a completely custom hero creation)
• 1 inside comic template

Craft instructions:

• Front Cover
• Students give their superhero a name and draw their logo.
• Back Cover
• Students draw their superhero and costume.
• Inside Left Page
• On the top half of the page, students list, draw, and/or describe the superpowers their superhero has.
• On the bottom half of the page, students come up with and write their superhero's backstory.
• Inside Right Page
• Students draw, name, and/or describe 2 gadgets their superhero uses.

Materials needed:

• Colored Pencils/Pens/Markers
• Scissors & Glue (if gluing the outside and inside sheets together vs. printing them front and back)
