Play as a reading or a writing game
How to Play
Students play this game individually, as pairs, or as teams depending on your class size.
One by one they choose a box by reading the word/sentence in the box.
The teacher clicks the box to reveal one of six rewards/punishments behind it.
The student/pair/team with the most points at the end of the game wins!
Variations
The instructions above are for the reading version of this game. If you want to use it as a writing activity, have students choose a box by writing the word/sentence in the box. This can be done individually or as teams. Then, reveal all points behind the boxes after students are finished writing.
The online/Zoom version of this game is also a writing variation. Similar to the writing variation above, students choose a box by writing the word/sentence in the box. However, this version is only done individually and I have updated the some of the scoring to reflect that (no stealing or choosing again).
Runtime
No runtime information has been submitted yet for this number of students. If you have used it with your students and would like to share how long it took to play, please fill out the form on the last tab. It would be very much appreciated and would be a big help to other teachers like you!
